7% is deposited into your account and earns 7% compound interest annually. The benefit WilCo provides is based on your final account balance and employer matching. Our current match rate is 250%! One of the highest in the state of Texas. Once County employees become vested at 8 years of service (either directly with Williamson County or through combined service time from other qualified Texas retirement systems), you have a right to a lifetime monthly benefit that will include employer matching when you reach retirement eligibility and choose to retire. There are several ways to meet TCDRS retirement eligibility requirements. To find out more about the County's retirement program and/or eligibility requirements, please visit TCDRS.

WilCo's Annual Contribution is based on 2025 benefit plan costs and is subject to change each year. If the HSA medical plan is selected, WilCo's Annual Contribution will include the seed money contributed each year by the County. Regardless of the medical plan selected, Your Annual Premium is calculated using the discounted rates (employees must meet the annual Wellness Points requirement to receive discounted rates).
